37signals Outage
Friday, January 18th, 2008I’m setting up Basecamp for my high school newspaper so that we can have stories in one place. I just went to do a little work on it and discovered that 37signals was down. A scary time for the people in charge.
I remember an outage we had at Near-Time, and I think it had to do with a load balancer, too. Load balancers (and anything else between the client and the server) certainly have many advantages, but they add that many more points of failure, too.
